A Linenbacked French Magazine Two-Page Spread (measures 17 1/2" x 23 3/4" [44 x 60 cm]) (Learn More) Le reve de Noel de Mickey (literally translates to "Mickey's Christmas Dream"), the circa 1933 French poster (a two-page spread from a French magazine) featuring Andre Hofer art of the Walt Disney animated animation cartoon star Mickey Mouse dreaming a Christmas dream with several fantasy children's story characters including: The Three Little Pigs, Little Red Riding Hood, Donald Duck, the Big Bad Wolf, Pluto, and Santa Claus! Note that because Donald is included, but drawn in the way he appeared his first year in cartoons, it seems extremely likely this is from 1933 (and the Big Bad Wolf is included, and that cartoon was 1933). If anyone knows more about what magazine this image was removed from, please e-mail us and we will post it here. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Andre Hofer Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. It appears that this was two pages from a magazine, because writing can be seen on the back when it is held to a strong light (but it does not show through to the front at all). Both pages were folded, and there was tiny paper loss at the middle left crossfold and pretty minor wear on the foldlines and in the borders. Overall, the magazine pages were in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well! Learn More about condition grades
