An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (SpanUS 1sh; printed in Spanish in the U.S. for Spanish speaking audiences; measures 27" x 40 1/2") (Learn More) Twilight Zone: The Movie, the 1983 Steven Spielberg, John Landis, Joe Dante, & George Miller science fiction (sci-fi) thriller compilation ("'You're travelling through another dimension. A dimension, not only of sight and sound, but of mind. A journey into a wondrous land whose boundaries are that of imagination. Next stop, the Twilight Zone.' Rod Serling"; note that three of the segments were written by Richard Matheson or based on his work) starring Dan Aykroyd, Albert Brooks, Scatman Crothers, John Lithgow, Vic Morrow (in his final movie role; he and two child actors were fatally injured in a helicopter accident on the set of the movie during filming), Kathleen Quinlan, John Larroquette, Kevin McCarthy, and Burgess Meredith (as the narrator). Note that this movie was a tribute to the classic 1960s TV series created by Rod Serling, with re-makes of classic episodes by four noted directors! Also note that director John Landis broke several child labor laws during his segment, which no doubt contributed to the deaths of the two child actors who were with Morrow during the fatal Vietnam scene. He was later found not guilty of involuntary manslaughter. Steven Spielberg ended his friendship with Landis over the incident. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Commander Important Added Info: Note that this poster measures 27" x 40 1/2", but it does not appear to be trimmed. Also note that this style of Span/US one-sheet has a great image showing a girl "unlocking the door into your imagination". No doubt her next stop is... The Twilight Zone! Finally, note that this poster was printed in the United States for use at theaters with Spanish speaking audiences (this was done most by MGM, starting in the 1930s, but it was done by the other major studios as well, and often the posters would have the exact same image as the English language poster, except the writing would be in Spanish, and often there would be an added "Toda en Espanol!", meaning "Entirely in Spanish!", printed within the image). Condition: good to very good. There is some rippling and discoloration throughout the poster from exposure to moisture. Learn More about condition grades
