A 1934 Re-release Vintage Theatrical Movie Title Lobby Card (measures 11" x 14") (Learn More) The Texas Ranger, the 1931 D. Ross Lederman cowboy western (from the story by Forrest Sheldon) starring Buck Jones ("The Screen's Greatest Western Star"), Carmelita Geraghty, Harry Woods, Ed Brady, and Nelson McDowell. Note that Buck Jones' white horse was named Silver (just like The Lone Ranger's later on!), and Silver made 73 movies with Buck Jones from 1922 until Jones' death in 1942 in the tragic Cocoanut Grove fire. But oddly, Silver was almost never billed on the posters for Buck Jones' movies as so many other famous horses (most especially Tom Mix's Tony) were! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Condition: good to very good. The card had paper loss in the center of the top blank border and there were creases and some tears in the top border. Someone put a 2" wide piece of masking tape across the back of the entire top border and replaced the missing area at center with a piece from another card (this seems like overkill to me, but it does not seem to have hurt the card any). Other than the above, there were pinholes in the corners and a few minor creases and smudges around the edges. Learn More about condition grades
