A Vintage German Hardcover Book (measures 9 1/4" x 12 1/2" [23 x 32 cm]; 186 pages) (Learn More) Decla-Bioscop-UFA 1920, the 1919-20 German book featuring images and information about upcoming movies. The only example of this we had was an incomplete copy, where someone had many of the pages (186 out of the 214 that were originally there) bound together with a new hardcover binding. While one certainly would prefer to have the complete book, it is remarkable for what remains, which includes three pages on The Golem, one page on The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, one page of Ernst Lubitsch's Sumurun, three pages of his Anna Boleyn, three pages of images of German theater fronts, and much, much more! The person who had this incomplete copy bound had color photostats of the front and back covers, and those are included with the bound volume, but of course, they are modern reproductions. The pages that are present (186 out of 214) are in generally nice condition, with a few pages having a few stains in the borders.
