Kenton Universal monster horror thriller sequel ("New Thrills as the monster stalks again!"; "Original Story, Eric Taylor"; the fourth Universal Frankenstein movie after the three 1930s classics; in this entry, Bela Lugosi as Ygor resurrects the Frankenstein monster and takes him to the doctor's son and they must find a new brain!) starring Cedric Hardwicke (billed as "Sir Cedric Hardwicke"; as Dr. Ludwig Frankenstein), Ralph Bellamy, Lionel Atwill (as Doctor Bohmer), Bela Lugosi (as Ygor), Evelyn Ankers (as Elsa Frankenstein), Lon Chaney Jr. (as the Frankenstein monster), Holmes Herbert, and Janet Ann Gallow NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Condition: good to very good. The entire card had darkened somewhat and it had paper loss in the top right corner (measuring approximately 1" x 3"), and it extended into the image background in the top right corner. There were pinholes in the other corners and some 1/2" to 1" tears in the borders, with some tiny paper loss in the tears. There were a two tiny staple holes near the center of the card, with some faint smudges and scuffs scattered in the image. A talented restorer starch-backed the card and performed restoration to the above defects, and did restoration to the front of the borders, but almost completely left alone the image area (except for the replacement of the missing area in the top right corner, and they did a fantastic job on that!). The card looks and feels like a regular lobby card, and you can tell that it has had some border restoration, and you can see the faint smudges and scuffs in the image when you look close up, but I think the card will display fantastically on the new owner's wall!
