Piccadilly, the 1929 E.A. Dupont (Ewald Andre Dupont) English silent/talking nightclub dancer crime thriller starring Anna May Wong, Gilda Gray, Jameson Thomas, and Charles Laughton

Important Added Info: Note that in 2004 the BFI restored this silent English movie, and gave it a theatrical re-release, with a music score by Neil Brand, "performed live by a seven-piece jazz ensemble". Also note that this is a rare "country of origin" poster for this English movie!

Condition: very good. This poster was linenbacked and during the backing process, its defects were repaired and it now looks nice. From any reasonable viewing distance, you can't see what restoration was done. It may have had only very minor defects, or it may have had more significant defects that were well restored. It is possible that you can see SOME slight traces of the restoration from a distance, but if so, we try clearly note it below. You can tell which of the above is the case for this particular poster by reading our "pre-restoration" description and also by looking at our "super-sized" image of the actual poster (we are the only major auction company we know of that gives accurate detailed pre-restoration information about linenbacked posters to our bidders, but we wish everyone did!).

The poster was never folded. It was in excellent condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was well backed, and looks great!
