Note that it appears that United Artists was somewhat afraid of the subject matter of this movie, especially the downbeat aspect and the Nazi connection, and its posters for this movie made it difficult to have any idea what the movie was about, and they only showed a head shot of a smiling Homeier, who looked nothing like a Nazi youth!
