Date Sold 4/15/2021 Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. 3 Original Vintage Theatrical 7 3/4" x 9 3/4" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Stills (Learn More) Gene Stratton-Porter's The Keeper of the Bees, the 1925 James Leo Meehan silent romantic family relationship melodrama ("The most beautiful story of the year made into a magnificent motion picture!"; "A photodrama that will live in your memory as one of the finest stories of all time"; "A gripping screen version of Gene Stratton-Porter's greatest novel"; a complicated story of a World War I veteran who is left half of an estate by a war buddy, and there is an 11 year old girl who dresses as a boy who gets the other half, and then he gets roped into a marriage with a woman who was pregnant when he met her!) starring Robert Frazer, Clara Bow (as the sister of the supposed pregnant woman), Alyce Mills, Martha Mattox, Alyce Mills, and Joe Coppa. Note that this movie was remade twice, in 1935 and in 1947. Also, note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that these stills have been trimmed and they now measure 7 3/4" x 9 3/4" [20 x 25 cm]. Condition: very good. A tiny amount was trimmed from each blank border of each still, reducing them to a measurement of 7 3/4" x 9 3/4", but only blank white paper was affected. They were attached to a scrapbook page with glue on the back of each corner and they were carefully removed from the scrapbook page, but there is glue and paper residue on the back of each corner. Fortunately, it does not have any effect on the front, which are in nice condition (see our images). Learn More about condition grades
