Date Sold 6/2/2011 Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. 11 Original 1968 Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10" Movie Stills (Learn More) Kingukongu no Gyakushu (released in the U.S. in 1968 as "King Kong Escapes"), the 1967 Ishiro Honda & Arthur Rankin Jr. Japanese/U.S. Toho kaiju battling rubbery monsters science fiction (sci-fi) thriller ("All New!"; "The fate of the world hangs in the balance as King Kong fights the King Kong Robot! ...two King Kongs fight to the death!"; about a battle to the death between King Kong and MechaKong over who is better at digging up precious gems) starring King Kong, MechaKong (a mechanical replica of King Kong!), Rhodes Reason, Linda Miller, Mie Hama, Akira Takarada, and Eisei Amamoto NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: SUPER IMPORTANT! THIS LOT CONTAINS 11 STILLS, BUT ONLY FOUR OF THE STILLS ARE PICTURED! THE HIGH BIDDER ON THIS LOT WILL RECEIVE 11 STILLS FROM THIS MOVIE, and NOT just the four pictured! We realize there is an element of gambling to this, but we made only a small effort to find the best four stills in these lots, and, if you have any willingness to gamble at all, you may find that you get some great stills that were not pictured! Please do NOT bid on this lot unless you can accept that you are only seeing four of the stills. Note that on our larger lots of black and white stills (mostly the ones with nine or more in the lot), there are a small number of lots where there may be one or several duplicated stills in the stills not pictured (we only picture four of the stills on all of the black and white lots). Sometimes we noted when some of the stills not pictured were duplicates to the ones that were pictured, but we likely did not catch that on many of the lots (especially the ones with a large number of stills), so please do not bid on the lots of nine or more stills unless you can accept the possibility that there may be some duplicated stills contained in the lot. Condition: fair to good. There are smudges and creases scattered throughout the stills and there are some tears and areas of paper loss around the edges.
