Artist: Frank McCarthy Important Added Info: Note that exhibitor magazines and studio yearbooks would sometimes have three or four page fold-outs that would be a full-color ad for a studio's upcoming movie. It seems likely that this poster was originally a 4-page fold-out from a magazine. However, a knowledgeable collector believes that this was a special promotional poster sent directly to theater owners to encourage them to book the movie. In any event, it definitely had images on both sides, so it was likely originally sent folded, whether it was intended to be a poster or a magazine advertisement. What IS linenbacking?
