An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) George White's Scandals, the 1934 Thornton Freeland, Harry Lachman & George White musical comedy revue ("Musical numbers under direction of Harry Lachman"; "Entire production conceived, created and directed by George White"; there was a framing story of a backstage romance between an actor an an actress, but that took second place to a series of song and dance numbers by top performers of the day who worked for Fox) starring Rudy Vallee, Jimmy Durante, Alice Faye, Adrienne Ames, Gregory Ratoff, Cliff Edwards, Scotty Beckett, Margaret Hamilton, George White, and Dorothea Kent. Note that this movie was made right at the time of the beginning of the Production Code, and some of the songs caused problems for Fox, including Alice Faye's "Nasty Man", and "Your Dog Loves My Dog" by Rudy Vallee, Alice Faye, Jimmy Durante, and Dixie Dunbar! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and tiny bits of paper loss on parts of some folds, with some tears and small paper loss around the edges. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects.
