Van Dyke Budapest Hungary romantic musical fantasy melodrama ("M-G-M's Magnificent Musical Extravaganza!"; "The sky's the limit in M-G-M's magnificent musical extravaganza!"; about a man who is in love with a woman who does not love him, and he has a dream that is presented as a long fantasy sequence where she is a real angel who agrees to marry him!) starring Jeanette MacDonald (in a dual role!), Nelson Eddy, Edward Everett Horton, Binnie Barnes, Reginald Owen, Douglass Dumbrille, Mona Maris, Janis Carter, and Inez Cooper NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this lot contains TWO of the same jumbo window card! They were found in the back of a frame, and both have been trimmed, but very fortunately, one has had the right 6" and the bottom 3" trimmed off, and the other has the left 6" trimmed off! This means that the two together ALMOST make one complete jumbo window card (what is missing is the bottom left area that is 3" x 6", which is the background beneath the girl at bottom left, and the left of the musical note that includes the "Rodgers & Hart" tagline). The person who buys these two jumbo window cards will have to decide whether to have a restorer "marry" the two together, and then replace that bottom left corner, OR to have both of the cards completely restored. PLEASE DO NOT BID ON THIS LOT UNLESS YOU CAN ACCEPT THAT THERE ARE TWO TRIMMED JUMBO WINDOW CARDS, AND THAT THEY DO NOT FORM A COMPLETE WINDOW CARD BETWEEN THEM! Also note that these jumbo window cards will need to be sent in a very large flat package that measures approximately 18" x 30" x 1" high, so please bear the shipping costs of this very large package in mind BEFORE you place a bid! Condition: fair. Both window cards are heavily trimmed, and together there is still a missing area of 3" x 6" in the bottom left corner .
