This means the poster was backed onto a paper backing (acid-free), that is similar in feel to that of the original poster (except somewhat heavier). It is a similar process to linenbacking, except that most collectors use linenbacking for one-sheets and paperbacking for half-sheets, inserts, window cards, and lobby cards. Also note that while this poster was paperbacked onto a somewhat thinner paper backing, it COULD be sent rolled (rolled inward, in a 6" tube), we would MUCH prefer to send it in a large flat package (because we fear that rolling it, even into a wide 6" tube, would have an excellent change of damaging it, so we will only send it in a tube if the buyer insists, and then they would be responsible for any damage), but otherwise, we will ship it in a very large flat package, so bear that expense in mind before bidding on this poster. Prior to paperbacking, the poster had creases and scuffs on the folds, with a few small tears and tiny areas of paper loss in the borders.
