An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Other Company One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) The Footloose Heiress, the 1937 William Clemens romantic love triangle rich-woman-poor-man comedy ("...A lively romantic adventure!"; "With a splendid cast!"; about the daughter of a rich man who has a gold digging boyfriend, and her father disapproves, and she meets a hobo who she instantly dislikes, but the hobo turns out to be a highly educated man who rescues her father's company, and the girl falls in love with him!) starring Craig Reynolds, Ann Sheridan, Anne Nagel, William Hopper, and Hugh O'Connell. Note that someone at Warner Bros. noticed the great success of It Happened One Night and My Man Godfrey, and combined the two plots into this movie, and used it as a vehicle for their new hot young star Ann Sheridan. Unfortunately, they did not cast one of their top male stars like James Cagney in the lead, but instead went with Craig Reynolds. Had they used a star like Cagney, this might have been a classic! This was a company in the Midwest that from roughly 1936 to roughly 1941 printed its own one-sheets and lobby card sets (and a very few inserts and half-sheets) for three major studio movies (Warner Brothers, Paramount and United Artists, but no other studios). The posters and lobby cards are from the original release of the movie, and almost always have completely different artwork from the regular studio release. They never have the name of the releasing studio on the poster or any of the lobby cards. Sometimes, "other company" posters or lobby cards have images that are the equal of those from the regular studio release posters or lobby cards! Condition: very good.
