eMoviePoster.comAuction History Result 6x461 LOT OF 20 MOSTLY FORMERLY TRI-FOLDED JAPANESE B2 POSTERS WITH ENGLISH SUBTITLE SNIPES 1950s-1960s Date Sold 6/3/2018Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. a lot of 20 mostly formerly tri-folded Japanese B2 posters with English subtitle snipes. Note that after World War II, the U.S. had a large number of American servicemen stationed in Japan, and movie theaters would sometimes show Japanese movies with English subtitles, so that Americans who did not speak Japanese could attend those showings. When they did, they would put a paper snipe on the poster that said "ENGLISH SUB-TITLES". All of the posters in this lot have such a snipe. It can be removed by a professional or talented amateur (or of course, the posters could be left "as is"). We are also auctioning other lots of posters from this same time period that do NOT have snipes on them. Note that the items in this lot are from the 1950s to the 1960s. We do not provide a list of these items, but there are images of all of them. Condition: fair to good. Most of the posters are in "good" condition, or in "fair" condition. Very few of the posters would qualify as being in "good to very good" condition. Learn More about condition grades Titles included:
