Artist: Drew Struzan/Charles White Important Added Info: Note that this is a very rare uncut printer's test! Before a poster was printed in large quantities, the printer would print a limited number of posters as "test" posters. Commonly, they would leave the color chart on the left edge of the poster, which added an extra inch to the width of the poster (which explains why the poster measures 28" x 41"). These printer's tests would then be shown to the various people in a position to "OK" them, and once they were completely approved, the printer would print the full print run of the posters. Not only is a printer's test far more rare than a regular poster, but it is also 100% genuine, there is no fear of purchasing a reproduction! NOTE THAT THIS IS THE VERY FIRST TIME WE HAVE EVER AUCTIONED A STYLE D printer's test (we have auctioned multiple examples of the style A and style C printer proofs). Condition: good to very good. There are three light semi-circular water stains in the top border, each extending somewhat into the image background. Otherwise, the poster is unfolded and in excellent condition. I would think a restorer could likely remove some or all of the faint water staining through chemical means, after which the poster would either need slight or no paint restoration in the top area, but it is also true that the water stains are faint and not very distracting, and I could well imagine a collector displaying the poster just as it is!
