While we once owned this item, we did not auction it through eMoviePoster.com (which is why no price or date is listed) nor do we have it available for purchase. A Walter Lantz Cartune, the 1939 stock poster for use by theaters showing animated animation cartoon comedy shorts, and featuring art of many cartoon characters, including Oswald Rabbit, Andy Pandy, Baby Face, Clark Gobble, Clara Goose, Elmer the Great Dane, Meany, Miny & Mo the chimps, and more! Theaters would order these posters which had a blank area. Sometimes the studio would overprint the stock poster with the title of a specific movie, and sometimes they were sent a series of large paper snipes with the titles of specific entries of the series, so the theater could paste in each snipe as needed, thus getting many posters for the price of one. Of course, Walter Lantz would go on to create Woody Woodpecker the year after this poster was made, and that would alter his life and become his greatest creation!
