Tom Jones, the 1963 Tony Richardson (winner of the Best Director Academy Award for this film) English historical romantic comedy ("The whole world loves Tom Jones!"; "Tom Jones! ...loves and loves and loves and loves..."; "Screenplay by John Osborne"; winner of the Best Picture Academy Award; based on the novel by Henry Fielding) starring Albert Finney (nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film; in the title role as Tom Jones), Susannah York, Hugh Griffith (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film), Edith Evans (nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film), Joan Greenwood, Diane Cilento (nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film), George Devine, David Tomlinson (billed as "and the guest appearance of David Tomlinson"), Joyce Redman (nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film), and David Warner. Note that this is the only movie that has ever had 3 different supporting actresses nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Oscar!
