Auction History Result FIGHTING DEVIL DOGS ('38) Chapter 1 1sheet Date Sold 4/1/1998Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie One-sheet (Learn More) The Fighting Devil Dogs, the 1938 Robert M. Beche, William Witney, & John English Marines military science fiction (sci-fi) serial ("A Republic serial in 12 lightning episodes") starring Lee Powell, Bruce Bennett (billed as "Herman Brix"), Eleanor Stewart, Montagu Love, Hugh Sothern, and Lester Dorr (uncredited as the main villain, The Lightning). Note that, as often happened with 1930s and 1940s serials, this one was edited into a "feature version" (a condensed version of all the chapters, eliminating unnecessary subplots, and bringing it down to feature length). However, in this case, the feature version was not created and released until six years after the serial was released, so we list it as a separate entry, because of the long delay between the two.
