An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) The Blocked Trail, the 1943 Elmer Clifton cowboy western ("Based on characters created by William Colt MacDonald") starring The 3 Mesquiteers (Bob Steele, Tom Tyler and Jimmy Dodd), Helen Deverell, George J. Lewis, Walter Soderling, and Charles Miller NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: very good. This poster was linenbacked, and one of the following is true: either the poster had very minor defects, and was well backed, OR it had more significant defects, but they were well restored, OR it had some minor defects that were not completely restored, and are somewhat noticeable. You can tell which of the above is the case for this particular poster by reading our "pre-restoration" description and also by looking at our "super-sized" image of the actual poster (we are the only major auction company we know of that gives accurate detailed pre-restoration information about linenbacked posters to our bidders, but we wish everyone did!). The poster had paper loss at the top and bottom ends of the vertical foldline. There were small holes at the crossfolds and some minor border and fold wear. The person who restored the poster did a good job of touching up the above basically minor defects. Overall, the poster looks nice, and the restoration is only noticeable from inches away. Note that at some point after the poster was linenbacked, it was roughly handled and there are now creases in the top of the linen on the right half of the top of the poster, just extending to the very edge of the poster. This would diminish greatly if the poster were put under weight, and it would not show at all if the poster was framed. Learn More about condition grades
