An Autographed 7 3/4" x 9 1/2" [20 x 24 cm] REPRODUCTION Still (Learn More) Hoagy Carmichael was a famous composer and piano player, who had acting roles in a number of movies from the 1930s to the 1970s, and he was surprisingly good as an actor! He was the composer of "Stardust", one of the most recorded songs of all time. Probably his finest acting role was in The Best Years of Our Lives. Some of his other movies include: Johnny Holiday, Young Man with a Horn, and Timberjack. Carmichael passed away in 1981 at the age of 82. Important Added Info: Note that this REPRODUCTION still has been personally autographed (signed) by Hoagy Carmichael! Also note that this REPRODUCTION measures 7 3/4" x 9 1/2" [20 x 24 cm]. Our consignor started collecting autographed photos in the 1960s and continued throughout the 1970s and 1980s, and stopped early in the 1990s. He attended collector shows, where he obtained some autographs in person, and his other signed photos were purchased from reputable dealers in New York and Los Angeles. He does not have certificates of authenticity, but he (and we) believe it is likely that the signatures on his items are authentic. As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction.
