If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that the vast majority of commercial posters from the 1960s were sold in very large numbers, and while they can be difficult to find decades later, they can almost never be described as rare. But this particular commercial poster actually is "rare" because it was recalled due to legal/licensing issues at that time. We have seen dealers asking thousands of dollars for this commercial poster! Note that there is something even more unusual about this poster! We had previously auctioned four commercial posters similar to this one, but all of those measured 43" high, while THIS poster measures 53" high (we previously auctioned one of these "larger" commercial posters in 2014)! Yet they both have the same image. The difference is that this poster has approximately 5 more inches of background area above and below the image of Fonda. They also have different tiny printer information at the bottom. Why would this be? We don't know. But as far as we know, this 29" x 53" version is far more rare than the 29" x 43" version (we have seen two of this size and four of the other size). Finally, note that this poster was produced by Personality Posters, a company from the 1960s to the 1970s who created commercial posters for sale to the public. The posters featured popular celebrities, cultural icons, movie stars, artwork, political statements, and more. As the posters were mainly used for decoration (often by high school or college students), it is rare to find them in good condition in modern times. Condition: good to very good. The poster has creases and tiny bits of surface paper loss in the top and bottom borders and slight darkening in the extreme outer edges of those borders. There are a few creases scattered throughout the poster. The poster has never had any restoration. Obviously, it could be displayed and enjoyed exactly as it is, or it could be professionally backed and it would look fantastic! Learn More about condition grades
