An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures 3 1/4" x 4") (Learn More) The General, the classic 1927 Buster Keaton & Clyde Bruckman silent Civil War military railroad train locomotive romantic slapstick comedy (Buster is an engineer who is refused by the Army because he is needed for the war effort, and then his girl is kidnapped by enemy soldiers, and most of the movie is spent with one train chasing another train, but amazingly, it never gets tired, and the movie has more laughs per minute than almost any comedy ever made!) starring Buster Keaton, Marion Mack, Charles Smith, Richard Allen, Glen Cavender, Jim Farley, and the train (in the title role, because it is named "The General", and it plays a really major part in the movie!) Artist: Hap Hadley Important Added Info: Note that while the art on this glass slide is unsigned, it is clearly the work of the great illustrator, Hap Hadley! ARE YOU UNFAMILIAR WITH GLASS SLIDES? The second image is a photograph of the entire glass slide (including either the cardboard holder or black tape around the edges, depending on the type of glass slide it is). Condition: very good to fine. the glass slide itself is in very good to fine condition; there is an uneven coloring in the top right sky area, and it is difficult to tell if any of it is a defect, or if it was all created that way (in any event, it is not distracting); there is an unevenness to the color in the bottom blank area, but again this may have been intentional!; there are a few tiny dots of black lots in the black surrounding the edges of the image; the cardboard holder is in excellent condition!
