An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Italian One-Panel (known in Italy as a "2 Fogli") Movie Poster (1p; measures 39" x 55" [99 x 140 cm]) (Learn More) Keep Your Powder Dry, the 1945 Edward Buzzell World War II (WWII) females-in-the-military WAC (Women's Army Corps) romantic melodrama ("Three women in a man's world") starring Lana Turner, Laraine Day, Susan Peters, Agnes Moorehead, Bill Johnson, Natalie Schafer, Lee Patrick, Jess Barker, June Lockhart, Marta Linden, Tim Murdock, and Henry O'Neill. Note that this was a pretty standard World War II Home Front melodrama about the trials and tribulations faced by women in the Army, but MGM knew they had three glamorous young women, and they wisely sold the movie based on their sex appeal. Also note that this movie was filmed right before Susan Peters' tragic accident (a gun accidentally discharged during a duck hunt, and she was shot, becoming paralyzed from the waist down), but it was not released until afterward. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this is an extremely rare poster. We have never auctioned one in all our years of auctioning! Virtually no Italian posters survive from during World War II since apparently there were many paper shortages in Europe during World War II, resulting in the destruction of almost all posters from before and World War II, and also from during the war, and the first few years afterwards!
