An Original 1964 (from the first release of this movie in the Czech Republic) Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Czechoslovakian Movie Poster (measures 22 3/4" x 32 1/4" [58 x 82 cm]) (Learn More) L'Auberge Rouge (released in the U.S. as "The Red Inn"), the 1951 Claude Autant-Lara French traveling monk serial killer black comedy (about a couple who runs a remote inn in the mountains where they poison their guests and steal their possessions, and a new group of visitors arrives, including a monk, and the owner of the inn confesses what he has done to the monk, and the monk realizes he plans to kill all of the visitors, but he feels that he can't betray the sanctity of the confession he heard!) starring Fernandel, Francoise Rosay, Marie-Claire Olivia, Caussimon, Nane Germon, Charron, Didier D'Yd, Lud Germain, A. Viala, Andre Cheff, Gregoire Aslan, Carette, and Yves Montand (as the singing commentator!). Note that this is black comedy at its very blackest, including the snowman shown on the French and Yugoslavian posters, which the murderers have used to conceal a dead body! Also note that Yves Montand does a "singing commentary" that relates to the plot over the soundtrack, and this was used in the classic movie "High Noon" the following year. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Richard Fremund Condition: very good to fine. The poster was never folded. It has some minor edge wear but it is otherwise in pretty nice condition! Learn More about condition grades
