An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Title Lobby Card (LC TC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Hollywood Hotel, the 1937 Busby Berkeley Los Angeles California romantic musical comedy ("The Hollywood Hotel Program direct from The Orchid Room of the Air") starring Dick Powell, Rosemary Lane, Hugh Herbert, Ted Healy (most famous as the person who started The Three Stooges; they were first billed as "Ted Healy and his Stooges"; he let them go on their own, hiring replacement "Stooges", but that did not work out well at all!), Benny Goodman ("King of Swing") and his Orchestra, Louella Parsons, Glenda Farrell, Lola Lane, Johnnie Davis, Alan Mowbray, Frances Langford, Jerry Cooper, Ken Niles, Duane Thompson, Raymond Paige and his Orchestra, Mabel Todd, Allyn Joslyn, Edgar Kennedy, and Harry James. Note that there was a real life Hollywood Hotel that was a major Hollywood institution in the 1930s (famous stars would gather there). This movie is set at the real life hotel! It also had a premiere on December 20th before receiving a wide release in January of 1938. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. The card has darkened, typical of Warner Bros. linen lobby cards of this period.
