An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 4" [8 x 10 cm]) (Learn More) Cleopatra, the classic 1917 J. Gordon Edwards historical Ancient Egypt royalty silent romantic epic melodrama ("The Siren of the Nile"; "Direct from record engagement at the Lyric Theatre N.Y.") starring Theda Bara (in the title role "as Cleopatra, The Siren of the Nile"), Fritz Leiber (as Caesar), Thurston Hall (as Antony), Alan Roscoe, Herschel Mayall, and Dorothy Drake. Note that this movie, like the other most major movies of this time, initially played for six months at a single theater in New York City. We don't know what posters were exhibited during that six month time, but the one-sheet poster (with the most classic image of Theda Bara) was created immediately after that, when the movie was first released to other theaters! Also, note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: The slide does not have a cardboard holder, but rather there is black tape around all four edges (front and back), typical of older glass slides. We have provided both a high quality scan of the image and also a separate image of how the glass slide looks, but in that digital image, you can really just see the outline of the slide and defects (if any) around the edges. Condition: fine. The slide does not have a cardboard holder, but rather there is black tape around all four edges (front and back), typical of older glass slides. The slide is in nice condition!
