An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Mean Streets, the classic 1973 Martin Scorsese New York City Little Italy Mafia organized crime thriller ("Go to Church on Sunday. Go to Hell on Monday.") starring Robert De Niro, Harvey Keitel (in his second credited movie role!), David Proval, Amy Robinson (she acted in only a few movies, and then became a producer, including on Scorsese's "After Hours"), Richard Romanus, Cesare Danova ("as 'Giovanni'"), and Robert Carradine NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this is a very unusual poster! An example of it first turned up around a dozen years ago, and nobody could explain what it was. It looks exactly like the "regular" one-sheet for this movie, except it is black and white. Some people said it must be a commercial poster, but why take out the color, and if it had been sold to the public, why are there not many examples of it? The examples we are aware of all seem to have originated from a Hollywood movie memorabilia store, and it seems quite possible that this might be some sort of "test" poster. Perhaps they were considering having a black and white one-sheet, or perhaps it was just to look at the art and writing prior to the color being added. There is also the question of whether it is from 1973 or from a later time. Because it is printed on paper consistent with the 1970s, and has aging (and also old discoloration), we think it is much more likely to be from the 1970s, but whether it is from 1973 or a few years later, we can't say. So there is a LOT unknown about this poster, and we ask that all bidders read the above carefully and only bid on this poster if they can accept all those unknowns, because we are NOT guaranteeing that it is from 1973, or that it was printed by the studio. Condition: very good. The poster has a few light creases scattered in various areas (slightly more so at upper center), but they are not very noticeable or distracting, and otherwise it is in nice condition!
