Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Folded Australian Daybill Movie Poster (measures 14 3/4" x 40") (Learn More) Wages for Wives, the 1925 Frank Borzage silent equality-for-women comedy ("How much is a wife worth?"; "A John Golden play hit"; based on a play by John Golden; far ahead of its time, about wives going "on strike" and their husbands are forced to ineptly do the housework!) starring Jacqueline Logan, Creighton Hale, Earle Foxe, Zasu Pitts, Claude Gillingwater, and David Butler. Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: very good. The poster is linenbacked; prior to restoration the poster was tattered around all the edges and there were small areas of paper loss on the folds and creases and smudges throughout the poster; the poster was linenbacked by a very talented professional and the defects have been greatly minimized so that they are practically invisible from any distance away, and the poster looks great. There is little paint anywhere on the image although there has been a fair amount of restoration in the blank borders and in the top yellow area. Learn More about condition grades
