Deadline - U.S.A. (released in England simply as "Deadline", for obvious reasons!), the classic 1952 Richard Brooks racketeering expose newspaper editor journalism melodrama ("20th Century-Fox savagely turns the spotlight of truth on revenge killings that shocked a nation!"; also written by Richard Brooks; to my mind the best newspaper movie ever made!) starring Humphrey Bogart, Ethel Barrymore, Kim Hunter, Ed Begley, Warren Stevens, Paul Stewart, Martin Gabel (in a great performance as the crime boss, Rienzi), Joe De Santis (billed as "Joseph De Santis"), Joyce Mackenzie, Audrey Christie, Fay Baker, Jim Backus, Dabbs Greer, Harry Tyler, John Doucette, Parley Baer, and Willis Bouchey

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had tiny paper loss near the center of the top horizontal fold, including in Bogart's ear and temple. It had paper loss in the top of the vertical foldline and minor wear on the other folds. It had paper loss in the lower right blank border and in the bottom left blank corner, but only blank white paper was affected. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above.
