An Original Vintage Ink Blotter (measures 3 3/4" x 9 1/4" [10 x 23 cm]) (Learn More)

The French Doll, the 1923 Robert Z. Leonard silent romantic melodrama ("Scenario by Frances Marion"; about the daughter of a French antiques dealer who helps her father swindle rich Americans by selling them fake antiques, but then she falls in love with a man they swindle) starring Mae Murray (as Georgine Mazulier), Orville Caldwell, Rod La Rocque, Rose Dione, and Paul Cazeneuve. Note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. Note that the plot of this movie is extremely similar to that of Preston Sturges' "The Lady Eve"! We wonder if Sturges saw this movie.

Important Added Info: Note that in the days of fountain pens, people kept a blotter, which was a piece of cardboard on their desk to soak up excess ink. You can tell if a blotter has been used or not by whether or not it has ink on the back!

Condition: good to very good.
