Soundgarden is an American rock 'n' roll (rock and roll) band from 1984 to 2018. They are one of the bands credited for the creation of grunge music and some of their works include: Badmotorfinger, Superunknown, and Down on the Upside. Since singer Chris Cornell's suicide in 2017, the band has decided that they would not continue as Soundgarden, short of a one-off concert tribute in January 2019.
