The buyer of that poster had it linenbacked and has now reconsigned it to us after all these years, so this is still the only example we have ever auctioned! What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster had darkened, typical of Columbia inserts of this period. It had some fine surface paper loss on the folds and pinholes, tears, and tiny paper loss around the edges, with many creases in the bottom 4" of the poster. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above.
