An Original Vintage Folded Special Movie Poster (measures 23 3/4" x 29 1/2" [60 x 75 cm]) (Learn More) Nashville, the classic 1975 Robert Altman (nominated for the Best Director Academy Award for this film) Tennessee political country music romantic comedy ("The damndest thing you ever saw."; "For movie lovers."; nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award) starring David Arkin, Ned Beatty, Karen Black, Keith Carradine (who won an Oscar for Original Song), Shelley Duvall, Jeff Goldblum, Geraldine Chaplin, Lily Tomlin (nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film), Cristina Raines, Ronee Blakely (nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film), Allan Nicholls, Henry Gibson, Allen Garfield, Michael Murphy, Robert DoQui, and Barbara Harris. Note that director Altman told the actors during casting that the ones who played performers would have to write and perform their own music, and Keith Carradine came up with "I'm Easy", which won the Oscar and is also a wonderful song, and Henry Gibson came up with "200 Years", a wonderful patriotic song! Important Added Info: Note that this poster seems likely to be a special poster that was created for a specific theater, due to the kind of paper that it is printed on, which is not the sort that was used for commercially printed posters, but rather the kind that was used to create individual posters. However, that is only a guess. It also seems likely that the poster was trimmed, but if so, we have no idea by how much, although we suspect the trimming was on the left, right and top sides, and likely a relatively small amount from each border (perhaps 1" or less.) But again that is only a guess. It was consigned to us by a man in the movie business, who was directly involved in the release of movies at this time, which makes us more convinced it was a special poster created for a specific showing. However, given these unknowns, PLEASE DO NOT BID ON THIS POSTER UNLESS YOU CAN ACCEPT THE UNCERTAINTY AS TO ITS ORIGIN. Note also that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: fair to good. We are thinking the poster was trimmed on three sides (see above), and if so it may well have cut into the images (perhaps slightly). Otherwise the poster was folded once in each direction (see our image). Learn More about condition grades
