An Original Vintage Theatrical 6" x 10 1/4" (8x10) Movie Still (Learn More) The Campus Vamp, the 1928 Harry Edwards silent romantic comedy short (produced by Mack Sennett) starring Daphne Pollard, Johnny Burke, Sally Eilers, Matty Kemp, Carole Lombard, "with The Sennett Girls". Daphne Pollard was born in 1891 in Australia, and never grew to more than 5 feet tall, and as a child, she was part of the "Pollard Lilliputian Opera Company". Her family moved to Los Angeles in 1907 and she was in vaudeville for a year, and then appeared on Broadway. When sound movies began, she moved to Hollywood and she signed with Mack Sennett, but then switched to Hal Roach, where she appeared in a number of his movies including ones with Laurel and Hardy. She only made a few movies after 1936, and was mostly on Broadway. She passed away in 1978 at the age of 86. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this still has an image of one of the posters or newspaper ads from the movie! Such stills are far more rare than stills which show scenes from the movie! Also note that this 8" x 10" has been trimmed and it now measures 6" x 10 1/4". Condition: very good. Some of the excess blank left and right borders of the still were neatly trimmed off, but otherwise, the still is in excellent condition. Note that we show a scan of the front of the still, with a scan of the back of the still beneath it (even if the back is completely blank), so you can see what is on both sides of the still, and also better judge the condition of the still.
