An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Ernest Hemingway's The Killers, the 1964 Don Siegel (billed as "Donald Siegel") crime action thriller ("There is more than one way to kill a man..."; "Explosively New ...in color!"; very loosely based on the short story by Ernest Hemingway) starring Lee Marvin, Angie Dickinson, John Cassavetes, Ronald Reagan, Clu Gulager, and Claude Akins. This was originally made for TV, but it was so violent that it was released theatrically instead! This started Don Siegel on his action thriller career. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and minor fold and border wear. It had an NSS number stamped on the back of the bottom right corner that bled through to the front. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, but the restorer left alone the bleed-through from the NSS stamp at lower right (see our image).
