A Linenbacked Mexican World War II/Travel Poster (measures 27 1/2" x 36" [70 x 91 cm]) (Learn More)

Mexico: For The Same Victory!, the 1940s Mexican World War II (WWII) travel poster encouraging Americans to visit Mexico during World War II, and featuring Eppen artwork of a partially-nude woman with her arms raised and the Mexican landscape in the background. Mexico declared war on the Axis powers in 1942 and sent troops to fight overseas, and at the same time, America and Mexico strengthened their bonds through various programs (such as the Bracero Program). This poster is announcing that Mexico and the U.S. were fighting for the same victory, which makes it very unusual, because it is essentially BOTH a war poster and a travel poster!
Artist: Eppen
Important Added Info: Note that we have never before auctioned this Mexican poster! Also note that this item contains some nudity, so we have placed a white bar over those areas for those who are bothered by such images. Of course, the actual item does not have the white bars.
