An Original Vintage Theatrical Autographed 8" x 10 1/4" [20 x 26 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Victor Mature was an actor from the 1940s to the 1980s. He is best remembered for starring in Cecil B. DeMille's "Samson and Delilah" (in the title role as Samson). Some of his other movies include: Kiss of Death, My Darling Clementine, The Robe, My Gal Sal, and After the Fox. He was an avid golfer in the 1960s. He began playing golf more and more and acting less and less, and he made his last appearance as Samson's father in a TV version of the 1949 movie in 1984, and he never acted again, passing away in 1999 at the age of 86. Important Added Info: Note that this still has been personally autographed (signed) by Victor Mature! Note that our consignor purchased a collection of autographed stills that were collected by Leonard Sorgi, who was a unit manager for ABC for shows like The Soupy Sales Show, The Jerry Mahony Show, and many others. He was also Unit Manager for the Academy Awards for a number of years, and during his long and varied career, he met many celebrities and obtained autographs from them in person (often personalized to him). Our consignor (and we) feel certain that the autograph on this still is authentic! As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction.
