An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Paramount Pictures, the circa 1915 stock poster ("Paramount Pictures Can Be Seen at the Best Theatres in your city"). Originally, Paramount was a not a studio, but was a "releasing program" that was a group of small studios who joined together to have an added advantage releasing their movies under one production name. This poster was created to send to theaters who showed mostly Paramount silent movies in its earliest days. Note that even in 1915, the famous Paramount Pictures logo was virtually identical to what it would be many decades later! If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster appears to have been tri-folded only. It had darkening along the top two folds and some tears and tiny areas of paper loss across the top foldline, with some small tears around the edges. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects.
