An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Foreign Advance One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) Who'll Stop the Rain (released outside the U.S. as "Dog Soldiers"), the classic 1978 Karel Reisz heroin drug smuggling crime thriller ("A week ago they were strangers. An hour ago they were lovers. Now they are targets."; "Based on the novel 'Dog Soldiers' by Robert Stone") starring Nick Nolte, Tuesday Weld, Michael Moriarty, Anthony Zerbe, and Ray Sharkey NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Tom Jung Important Added Info: Note that this is a very rare poster. Apparently, the movie was originally intended to be released under the title "Dog Soldiers", which was the title of the source novel, but the title was changed to "Who'll Stop the Rain". Before the title change, advance foreign posters were printed with the original title. I don't know if it was also released internationally under that title, but it was never released in the U.S. as "Dog Soldiers", and it is very difficult to find any poster with this alternate title! Also note that this poster was stamped "ADVANCE FOREIGN" which means it was printed for use outside the United States (there would also have been posters stamped "DOMESTIC" for use within the United States). Often, the "FOREIGN" posters would have a different (sometimes racier) image than that for the one used in the United States. Also note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Finally, note that this is an advance one-sheet (note the "ADVANCE" at the bottom of the poster). Condition: very good to fine. There are some smudges in the right of the bottom foldline. There are some minor creases throughout the poster, but they are truly not very noticeable or distracting. Overall, the poster is in quite nice condition! Learn More about condition grades
