An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded English Three-Sheet Movie Poster (3sh; measures approximately 41" x 85") (Learn More) The Chain Invisible, the 1916 Frank Powell silent romantic love triangle melodrama ("A photoplay of mystery and love by the world famous poet Richard Le Gallienne"; a really crazy story of a lumberjack who falls madly in love with a society woman, and he kidnaps her even though she is engaged, and takes her to a desert island, where she grows to love him; but her fiance manages to find her and rescues her, telling her that the lumberjack was killed; but the lumberjack makes it back to civilization, where he finds that she has married the fiance, but when the fiance sees that the lumberjack survived, he kills himself, which allows them to return to their desert island where they have true love) starring Bruce McRae, Gerda Holmes, Alfred Hickman, Tom McGrath, and Lillian Paige. Note that the producers of this early silent needed a location that could provide both city and "desert island" locations, and they filmed it in Cuba! If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: This English three-sheet was printed in 2 sections. Also note that this English three-sheet is very old, and it would not make sense to attempt to roll it, as the paper is fragile enough that rolling it might damage it. The poster has become brittle and there is much separation, tattering, and some paper loss along the foldlines throughout the poster (much repaired with conservation tape from the back).
