A 1978 Re-Release Vintage Theatrical Movie Pressbook Ad Supplement (measures 12 1/2" x 19"; 7 pages) (Learn More) One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, the classic 1975 Milos Forman (winner of the Best Director Academy Award for this film) mental institution black comedy ("In this clean, orderly, disciplined world, who needs a guy like McMurphy? Everybody."; "Based on the novel by Ken Kesey"; winner of the Best Picture Academy Award; about a man in a mental institution and one of the only cases where a great novel was made into an equally great movie, and they changed it around, to boot!) starring Jack Nicholson (winner of the Best Actor Academy Award for this film; as Randall P. McMurphy), Louise Fletcher (winner of the Best Actress Academy Award for this film; as Nurse Ratched), William Redfield (as Mr. Harding), Danny De Vito (as Martini; in his fifth movie role!), Christopher Lloyd (as Taber; in his very first movie role!), Scatman Crothers (as Turkle), Will Sampson (as Chief Bromden), Brad Dourif (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film; as Billy Bibbit), Sydney Lassick (as Charley Cheswick), Vincent Schiavelli (as Fredrickson), William Duell (as Sefelt), Josip Elic (as Bancini), Mews Small (billed as "Marya Small"; as Candy), Michael Berryman (as Ellis), Delos V. Smith Jr. (as Scanlon), and Dr. Dean R. Brooks (as Dr. John Spivey). Note that this was the first time in 42 years that one movie won the four top Academy Awards! Also note that the movie was filmed at the real Oregon State Hospital (a psychiatric facility), and that Dr. Brooks (who played Dr. Spivey) was the real head of the hospital! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this pressbook ad supplement was folded across the center at one time. Because of this, this ad supplement can be sent in one of our standard size packages (if it is purchased together with pressbooks that can NOT be folded, then it will of course have to be sent in one of our oversized packages). But if this supplement is purchased by itself (or solely with other pressbooks that can be folded), then the shipping will be much lower, because it fits in a standard package. Also note that pressbooks were prepared prior to a movie being released. Often, changes would be made in a movie advertising campaign (billing of actors, different images, etc.), and the theaters would print up special supplements that they would send out with the pressbooks that had already been printed. These supplements are very rare, far more rare than the pressbooks themselves! Some pressbooks would have no supplements, some would have one, and some would have several. Condition: very good, NO CUTS. Note that this pressbook ad supplement is complete and uncut! Given that theater owners purchased ad supplements partly in order to create their newspaper advertising, and quite frequently cut them up for that purpose, it is rare to find an ad supplement that IS complete and uncut!
