An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card #4 (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Robot Monster, the 1953 Phil Tucker 3-D (3D; 3-Dimension) science fiction (sci-fi) horror thriller (perhaps the worst movie ever made; "Moon monsters launch attack against Earth!"; "Moon monsters launch Earth attack!"; "Adventures into the Future"; "How can science meet the menace of astral assassins? New science-fiction thrills!"; "Monsters attack Earth!"; "Adventures into the future in NEW Tru-3 dimension!") starring George Nader, Claudia Barrett, Selena Royle, John Mylong, Gregory Moffett, Pamela Paulson, George Barrows, and John Brown (in the title role as the voice of the robot). Note that "Plan Nine From Outer Space" has often been mentioned as the worst movie ever made, but many people feel this movie is a strong contender for that title! The making of the movie is as interesting as the movie itself (it was shot in four days, it "steals" special effects from other movies, etc). NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this movie was originally in 3-D. The studios created both 3D and 2D posters and lobby cards (the 2-D posters and lobby cards were for theaters that lacked the 3-D equipment). This lobby card is from the "3-D" release. Condition: very good. Most of the cards that have survived from this terrible movie have snipes glued over the 3-D areas, and this one once had snipes over both areas, but fortunately, they likely fell off, just leaving slight glue stains in those areas that are really not distracting! There is a 1 1/2" tear in the left of the top border and a faint partial diagonal crease near the center of the top border. There are two tiny tears in the lower left border and some faint smudges and creases around the edges. Someone wrote four numbers in the right of the bottom blank border in pencil. Otherwise, the card is in pretty nice condition. Note that this lobby card is completely unrestored and there is not a single piece of tape on either the front or back!
