An Original Vintage Folded World War II Poster (measures 20" x 28" [51 x 71 cm]) (Learn More)

Fire Away!, the 1944 U.S. World War II (WWII) War Bonds poster ("Buy Extra Bonds") encouraging people to contribute to the 5th War Loan, and featuring Georges Schreiber art of a soldier shining a spotlight from atop a submarine. The poster also has written at upper left "In Memory U.S.S. Dorado" which was a U.S. submarine that was lost on it's maiden voyage, possibly due to friendly fire (either from a patrol plane or a sea mine).

Important Added Info: Note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube.

Condition: very good. The poster has minor fold and border wear. It is otherwise in pretty nice condition and it displays well!
