An Original Vintage Deluxe 10" x 11 3/4" [25 x 30 cm] Still (Learn More) Dumbomber, which was an insignia designed by Walt Disney in 1941 for the 40th Bombardment Group of the U.S. Army Air Corps, stationed in Puerto Rico. Disney helped in the war effort by designing scores of Army insignias, and this was one of the best. It was obviously inspired by his about to be released movie "Dumbo", and "Dumbomber" is a shotputter who is standing on a target, holding what looks like a shot put, but it really a bomb, obviously a great mascot for a bomber group! Dumbomber is not Dumbo, but is actually "a distant cousin", according to a deluxe still that we auctioned. Important Added Info: Note that this still measures 10" x 11 3/4" [25 x 30 cm], but it has not been trimmed. Also note that this is a deluxe still printed on double weight paper stock. Condition: very good to fine. Learn More about condition grades
