French National Railroads (Societe Nationale Des Chemins De Fer Francais or S.N.C.F.), the French travel poster ("For traveling in France the railway is the right way"; "Visit France by train"; "Discover France by train") made by the S.N.C.F to encourage travel by the French National Railroad. Each poster features a wonderful image or art of one of the many locations that the railroad visits. The SNCF was founded in 1938 with the nationalization of France's main railway companies.

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster was never folded. It had just a few scuffs scattered in the image. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was backed onto a fairly thin linen, which has creased around the edges, in the excess area, and it has also caused creases in the parts of the poster below the image, including the title.
