A Wonderful Animated or Moving Picture Exhibition, the circa 1900s poster advertising a very early silent film exhibition to celebrate "the greatest invention of the age", the "Optigraph Moving Picture Machine" sold by Sears, Roebuck & Co. and features much information about the scenes that were shown including the U.S. procuring The Philippines, The Landrones, Hawaii, and 'Porto Rio'. Articles suggest that this show used both "Magic Lantern" and motion picture technology.

Condition: good to very good. There is some tattering around the edges of the poster. There is discoloration throughout the lower half of the poster from exposure to moisture and there are two jagged 3" tears at lower center a few inches to the left of the lower right inset art image, and there is a 3" tear in the lower edge. Please see our super-sized image to get a good sense of the condition of this item prior to placing a bid.
