An Original Vintage Autographed 3 1/2" x 5 1/2" [9 x 14 cm] Postcard (Learn More) Van Heflin was an actor from the 1930s to the 1970s. Some of his movies include: Shane (where he played Joe Starrett), 3:10 to Yuma, The Strange Love of Martha Ivers, Airport, Johnny Eager (winner of the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film), among many others! He passed away in 1971 at the age of 62. Important Added Info: Note that this postcard has been personally autographed (signed) on the back by Van Heflin! It also has a facsimile signature within the printing on the front (the back of the card WAS signed, but the front was NOT). Our consignor is a longtime collector who purchased this signed item from a reputable dealer in 2003. He does not have a certificate of authenticity, but we believe the signature to likely be authentic. As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased (although we prefer they do any "authenticating" while the auction is "live" and before they place a bid) and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction. On non-signed items, we give a "lifetime guarantee" on everything we auction, but on signed items, we give the above modified guarantee of 30 days after the auction closes. Condition: very good.
