Some of his movies include: Psycho, Friendly Persuasion (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film), On the Beach, The Trial, Tall Story, and Fear Strikes Out. He was diagnosed with AIDS in 1990, after the National Enquirer magazine illegally had his blood sample tested for the HIV virus. He passed away in 1992 at the age of 60 from the disease. Important Added Info: Note that this is a "studio-issued" transparency that was produced by the studio but is not the camera original. What is a transparency? They are produced by the studio and are very high quality and were created in quantity and sent to media outlets or other places that had need of the very highest quality image for reproduction purposes (in newspapers, magazines, or elsewhere). A clear border around a 4x5 transparency denotes duplication from a negative source, a black border denotes duplication from a positive source. This transparency is in a plastic sleeve (but we removed it and scanned it, so that bidders could see just how high quality it is). It will be sent to the winner of the auction in the plastic sleeve. Condition: good to very good. The color of the transparency has "shifted" from how it originally was, but otherwise, it is in nice condition.
