An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) The Speed Maniac, the 1919 Edward Le Saint silent automobile car racing boxing sports romantic cowboy western melodrama ("A Mix Special of Love, Stunts and Thrills by H.H. Van Loan"; they sure packed a ton of plots into this single movie!; there is a boxer in jail, his four young children, a race car driver/inventor, a beautiful girl, and a long lost father who turns out to be rich) starring Tom Mix, Eva Novak, Charles K. French, Hayward Mack, Lee Shumway, Georgie Stone, and Buck Jones (billed as "Buck Gebhart"; in an uncredited role). Note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had tears and paper loss in the left half of the top horizontal fold and paper loss in the blank border next to that fold. It had very little wear on the other folds and some pinholes, tears, and small paper loss around the edges, except for in the bottom right corner, where there was paper loss extending into the blue border. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well! Note that either the restorer who mounted the poster did not leave any excess linen around the edges of the poster, or possibly the owner of the poster chose to carefully trim off the excess, so that the poster would fit in a frame.
